The Ayotzinapa case

I have heard of this case since two months ago, approximately. After all the massive unconformity, and all the news presented on the media, I finally have a personal opinion about the Ayotzinapa case. I think that the government should find quickly the real story, and beyond that, find the bodies or the students alive. Give real help to the affected families and the missing persons. 

On the other hand, talking as a outsider, it is a horrible situation. As a human and mexican, I support the manifestations and the fight against the corruption. I want to know the truth. 

In my view, it is incredible that after two months, the case is still  in a hypothesis. When a person is missing the authorities must hurry. The time does not stop, when the days pass, the real story is more complicated to find, and more important, the person. It is a very strange case.

I learned that everybody should look inside the others. People have feelings, and deserve a good quality of life.

2.    What is the message of this movie? Do you agree or disagree with it?

The message that the movie left me is that all people are equal, regardless of color or socioeconomic status.

3.    Was there something you did not understand about the film? What was that?

No, I understood every part.

4.    What did you like best about the movie? Why?

The message and how the story is told. I really like the stories that the black women share with Skeeter.

5.    What did you like least about the film? Why?

I like the whole movie, but I think that the real situation is worst.

6.    Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why?

Celia Foote. I love that she treats everybody in a marvelous way. She is a charming and beautiful woman.

7.    Who was your least favorite character in the film? Why?

Hilly Holbrook. That woman is crazy. She manipulates everybody in Jackson, Mississippi. She is the most racist person in the movie.

8.    Did anything that happened in this movie remind you of something that has occurred in your own life or that you have seen occur to others?

I used to take ballet lessons. When the roles were distributed, the teachers gave the leader roles to the white girls.

9.    What were you thinking as you finished watching the film?

When the movie ended, I kept wondering if the racism is over, or the black people still have problems and conflicts because of their color.

10. Would you recommend this movie to a friend? Explain your reasons.

Totally recommend the movie, because of the message and the stories.

11. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why?

The dead of Aibileen’s son. His dead is what impulse the talks with Skeeter.

12. If you had a chance to ask a character in this movie a question, what would it be?

I would ask Hilly Holbrook the reasons of her hate to color people.

13. If you had a chance to ask the screenwriter a question, what would it be?

What other interesting stories he discovered filming the movie.

14. If you were writing the screenplay for this movie, would you have changed the ending? Explain your answer.

I would not change anything; the end leaves the viewer thinking.

15. What feelings did you share with any of the characters in the movie?

I identify myself with Celia Foote, her innocence and happiness represents my person.    

16. Did any of the characters in this movie make you angry? Why?

Yes, all the women that follow Hilly Holbrook. Everybody should think and do what they believe.

17. Did you come to respect any of the characters in this movie? Who was it and why did you come to respect that character?

I ended respecting Minny Jackson. She decided to leave her husband and give another lifestyle to her children . She made the change in her life.

Enjoy the little things. 

Technology has changed our way of living. It has brought us a comfortable life and mechanized systems, which make the day to day easier.  But, that is not always an advantage. Transferring the above to daily life, the focus of every single person in their phones and devices has made them lose the beautiful details of life. Most of us check our Facebook page and twitter account, instead of look around and appreciate the precious moments and good people, persons that actually love us, and are there for us.

Also, we cannot keep our good memories to ourselves. In these days it seems like everyone needs to share their vacations, engagement proposals and the beautiful sunsets. It looks that it is impossible to just remember the moment as a mental picture; it has to be shared with the world and become part of the web. Like Gary Turk says in his video: "We are generation of idiots, smartphones and dumb people". We need to stop seeing the "web potential" in every event, avoid the thoughts about the likes that our status could reach and stop making group conversations in WhatsApp instead of organize a reunion on a Friday night.

It is time to return to phone calls, letters and social interaction. Maybe we need to get back to the old visits, where the guests brought a delicious pie and the hosts used to prepare a succulent meal. We cannot stand with the silence of the parks, it is moment to take out the children, forget the iPads and tablets, and get dirty in the trees and the ground. Now is the time to give love, laugh and shut down and devices. Let´s enjoy our lives.

Technology for Chemical Engineering 

I’m studying chemical engineering. Chemical engineers could work in many areas and a lot of companies. When the students are learning, the professors ask for different homework and projects, and often to download different apps for a deeper analysis. 

The tools and apps that are very common are wolfram alpha, which is used to solve different mathematical models. Also, Modellus, a program to represent equations, could be used for the observation of variable movements. On the other hand, there are some platforms linked with ITESM like Mi Tec, which allows visiting the web pages of other services like the digital library or CASA.

Talking about the technology used in the engineering, there are different equipments working in the industry, some examples are drier trays, ball mills, liquid measuring devices, etc. These apparatus make the industrial process more efficient and productive, lower margin of error. These apps are very useful, but I’m still learning about the tools that the students like me could employ.

How to get rich (without stealing)

Have you ever dreamed of having all the things you want? there is a way to make that dream come true, being rich. There are three ways a person can become wealthy: starting a company, having an innovative idea or winning the lottery. 

People can have a lot of money if they start a company. The owners need to have a small amount of capital saved, and a work area. Starting a company requires a lot of effort and patience.

Having an innovative idea is another way to get rich. If one person has a good idea that can improve a service or a product, and he sells it, it can bring countless money to his life.

The last manner to get rich is winning the lottery. This is the most difficult and “impossible” way to have a lot of money, because of the odds. But, if the person is lucky, and wins the prize, he is immediately rich.

In conclusion, if someone wants to reach all their material dreams and wishes, the solution is to get rich. It exists three ways to earn money, starting a company, having an innovative idea or winning the lottery. Achieve one and you can be millionaire.
